Voice calls are never recorded
Ocroon does not record calls, does not store call audio, and has no feature to do so — this is a hard product rule, not a setting. Call audio is transported encrypted and exists only for the duration of the call. What we keep is basic call metadata (who talked to whom, when, and for how long), because that's what makes reports actionable.
Your photos are protected by the server, not the app
Most apps "hide" content by not displaying it, while the data still reaches the phone. Ocroon's photo privacy is enforced on our servers: your photo URLs are never sent to another user's device until you have both privately chosen each other. A modified or hacked app on the other side has nothing to reveal. Identifying metadata (like GPS EXIF tags) is stripped from photos at upload.
Before a match, you're barely visible
The other person sees only your first name, age, city, languages and shared interests. No surname, no photos, no contact details, no exact location — your position is used to measure distance and derive a city label, and coordinates are stored rounded to roughly 100 metres.
Decisions are private
After a call, your ❤️ or 👎 is never shown to the other person unless it's a mutual ❤️. Nobody finds out they were turned down, and nobody can pressure you about your choice.
You're always in control of the call
- End any call instantly — no explanation needed, no penalty.
- Block — you'll never be matched with or contacted by that person again.
- Report — reports include call metadata so we can act on them; reports survive even if the reported account is deleted (in anonymized form).
- Declining is free — declining a ring or saying 👎 never punishes you.
Delete everything, any time
Profile → Settings → Delete account erases your profile, photos, matches and chats immediately and permanently. There is no retention period and no "deactivation" limbo. Details: account deletion.
Data practices in one paragraph
Ocroon collects only what the service needs: your account email, the profile you write, your photos, your messages after a match, call metadata and approximate location. We don't sell data, we don't show third-party ads, and we host on EU infrastructure. The full details are in the privacy policy.
Tips for a good first call
- Keep it to the app — there's no reason to share your phone number, socials or exact address in a first three-minute chat.
- It's a conversation, not an interview. Ask what they're into; three minutes goes fast.
- Trust your ear. If something feels off, end the call — that's what the button is for.
- If someone behaves badly, report them. It genuinely helps the next person.
Age policy
Ocroon is strictly 18+. See our child safety standards for how we handle underage accounts and reports.
